Senior BigData Architect (Azure)

• At least 5+ years of experience in data architecture.
• Proven track record of leading the architecture of a greenfield data platform from scratch to production.
• Deep expertise in the Microsoft Azure Data Stack (including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics).
• Relevant Microsoft Certification in the Data Stack (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Fabric Analytics Engineer).
• Strong command of data modelling, data governance, and modern DataOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments using Jira and Confluence.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and whiteboarding skills; fluent English.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Data Mesh, Medallion architecture, or Lakehouse design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Purview.

• Define, design, and drive the architectural strategy for a scalable, reliable enterprise data platform from inception to production.
• Architect end-to-end solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, and Purview.
• Set architectural standards, define best practices, and produce reference architectures and documentation for engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership and governance, reviewing designs, guiding data engineers, and making real-time architectural decisions.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical leads to translate complex requirements into implementable architectural decisions.
