Software Engineering Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing a team of developers.
• Strong technical mentorship skills.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills; experience with C# is a plus.
• Experience with database design and development.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, principles, and technologies.
• Experience working with physical systems.
• Experience developing scalable service-oriented architectures.
• Ability to foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive team environment.
• Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience hiring and managing diverse engineering teams.
• Proven ability to deliver large-scale cross-functional projects on time and with high quality.
• Ability to navigate competing priorities and ambiguous situations.
• Clear communication, boundary setting, and decision making under pressure.

• Manage a team of 5 software engineers working on the Security ecosystem communication backbone.
• Provide technical mentorship to team members.
• Deliver projects and set project timelines.
• Generate and manage work for the team.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive team environment through daily leadership.
• Communicate effectively with both engineers and non-engineers.
• Hire, develop, and manage a diverse and talented engineering team.
• Deliver large scale, cross-functional projects on time and maintain high quality.
• Explore technical feasibility and prioritization tradeoffs.
• Implement process improvements.
• Navigate competing priorities and ambiguous situations.
