Software Engineer (Yacto, Linux)

Capgemini Engineering is recruiting for the Common Linux team working on Yocto-based Linux distributions across multiple product lines and hardware platforms, contributing to embedded Linux systems.

• Solid hands-on experience in embedded Linux development, including user space and/or kernel space.
• Familiarity with the Yocto Project or comparable build frameworks like Buildroot; openness to learning Yocto on the job.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming, particularly in Bash and Python, with ability to work across multiple languages.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in maintaining and troubleshooting Linux-based systems.

• Integrate and maintain embedded Linux software on existing hardware platforms, including kernel configuration, debugging, and patching.
• Contribute to user-space tooling, scripting, and automation using Bash and Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams providing Linux expertise across multiple product lines.
• Improve internal Linux processes, testing pipelines, and technical documentation.
• Contribute to platform architecture and long-term Linux strategy to shape the Common Linux team's direction.
