Senior Software Engineer (Kotlin/Java)

Scalo delivers software projects and supports partners in business development across various IT services including technology consulting, software creation, embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated project teams.

• Minimum 5 years of commercial backend development experience with Java and/or Kotlin
• Practical knowledge of Spring Framework, microservice architecture, and containerization with Docker
• Experience with cloud solutions, preferably AWS
• Knowledge of API design and implementation (REST, GraphQL) and authentication mechanisms (JWT)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and designing complex systems
• Analytical thinking and understanding of business domain
• English language proficiency at minimum B2+

Nice to have:

• Experience in fintech or finance projects

• Develop and maintain backend systems for fintech and digital investments projects
• Design and develop microservices with Java 21, Kotlin, and Spring Framework
• Create secure solutions for authentication, KYC, GDPR compliance, and client platform integrations
• Design, develop, and integrate APIs (REST, GraphQL) with external systems
• Work in a cloud-native environment using AWS, Docker, and DevOps practices
• Ensure code quality, testability, and development of engineering standards
• Work 100% remotely
