Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer

Upvanta is hiring for an embedded systems engineering role based in Wrocław, Poland. The position involves designing, developing, and launching modern solutions based on embedded systems, requiring deep firmware and hardware knowledge.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in embedded systems design (firmware and hardware).
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ in embedded contexts (bare-metal, RTOS).
• Practical experience with microcontrollers such as STM32, ESP32, NXP, Nordic (nRF) or similar.
• Familiarity with communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Modbus, USB.
• Ability to read and create electronic schematics.
• Experience with laboratory tools: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, laboratory power supply.
• Debugging experience on hardware level (JTAG/SWD).
• Knowledge of RTOS like FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
• Experience with wireless communication: BLE, LoRa, Wi-Fi, Zigbee.
• Experience with OTA (Over-The-Air) updates.
• Knowledge of Python and scripting.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools for firmware: Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining firmware for embedded systems, including drivers, communication protocols, and application logic.
• Running and debugging hardware prototypes.
• Collaborating on the integration of hardware and software layers.
• Analyzing issues at both electronic hardware and software code levels.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation of the projects.

Work model: Hybrid in Wrocław, Poland. Language requirement: Polish.
