Senior QA Specialist

Axence Sp. z o.o. Sp. j. creates software that improves and simplifies IT departments' work and educates about cybersecurity. They deliver solutions for IT departments in Poland and worldwide.

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in software testing.
• Good knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and techniques.
• Experience analyzing business and functional requirements and identifying related risks.
• Ability to design test scenarios and cases considering business risk.
• Experience in test scope planning and prioritization of testing activities.
• Proficiency in manual, exploratory, regression, acceptance, and non-functional testing.
• Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Knowledge of SQL to analyze and verify test data.
• Ability to diagnose and report defects precisely.
• Self-reliant with excellent organization skills and decision-making ability.
• English language proficiency sufficient to read technical documentation.

Nice to have:

• Experience working in the cybersecurity industry.
• Experience testing desktop or native Windows applications.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with database management tools like pgAdmin.
• ISTQB Advanced Level certification or equivalent.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from business and technical requirements analysis through testing to deployment and maintenance.
• Analyze, gather, and refine business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, business analysts, and developers to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Take end-to-end ownership of selected product areas or business domains.
• Design test scenarios and cases considering risk and business impact.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, acceptance, and non-functional testing.
• Test API and verify data required for test processes.
• Report, analyze, and verify reported defects.
• Manage defect lifecycle and support prioritization with business and Product Owners.
• Analyze impact of changes on existing functionalities and business processes.
• Estimate test scope and effort required for verification of new features.
• Co-create test strategies for new functionalities and projects.
• Prepare test reports and recommendations on product quality and release readiness.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis after critical defects or production incidents.
• Propose and implement test process improvements.
• Contribute to creating testing standards and quality definitions in the team.
• Support less experienced testers through consultations, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
• Support the technical support team in analyzing and resolving customer issues.
