Senior Software Engineer (Python)

LinkGroup is hiring for a Senior Software Engineer role focused on architecting and scaling a cloud-native Clinical Data Layer platform that standardizes clinical trial datasets into the CDISC SDTM structure.

• 5+ years hands-on software development experience (Senior level).
• Deep proficiency with Python, including clean code architecture, monorepo patterns, and test-driven development (pytest, pytest-bdd).
• Proven experience with serverless AWS primitives (Lambda, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, IAM) focusing on latency, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency.

Strong advantages:

• Hands-on experience with GraphQL via AWS AppSync and integration with modern React/TypeScript clients.
• Expertise writing and debugging multi-environment Terraform configurations.
• Experience using Databricks or similar distributed data frameworks.
• Familiarity with clinical data models (CDISC SDTM, ADaM) and compliance in regulated environments (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11).
• Solid understanding of event-driven software patterns such as fan-out/fan-in, idempotency, and retry strategies.

• Architect and enhance the core SDTM transformation engine using AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and Databricks.
• Construct and refine responsive React/TypeScript interfaces backed by GraphQL (AWS AppSync).
• Maintain, deploy, and scale service-level Terraform stacks and shared cloud resources.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, perform code reviews, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor junior team members.
