IT Windows Senior Engineer

Euroclear connects over 2,000 financial institutions globally and operates as an open and resilient infrastructure contributing to the stability of financial markets. Group Technology Services (GTS) plans, builds and runs Euroclear's global IT infrastructure and manages IT service delivery to support business processes, including disaster recovery.

• Deep expertise in Microsoft ecosystems and Windows Server Operating Systems.
• Experience with troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and knowledge of Windows internals.
• Ability to analyze low-level OS components such as process/thread architecture and I/O subsystems.
• Familiarity with tools like Sysinternals Suite and Event Tracing for Windows (ETW).
• Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Windows Server Security Hardening, and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
• Experience with VMware (Nutanix is a plus) and networking tracing.
• Advanced scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, powerCLI, Python, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Desirable skills include Ansible, remote development on Linux, Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Terraform.
• Background in software engineering or development focusing on API integration, automation frameworks, and code quality/testing.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Experience working in Agile methodologies.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and complex situations.
• Strong documentation skills for technical and design documents.

• Design, implement, and maintain automated Windows server provisioning and software deployment solutions with gradual deployment strategies.
• Apply testing methodologies and software design patterns to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Use deep knowledge of Windows Server operating systems to ensure stability and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and refine high-level design documentation.
• Take ownership, autonomy, and accountability for assigned tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Windows Server versions (2012 to 2025).
• Participate in on-call support rotations for production systems.
• Work on scheduled weekend rotations.
