Senior Observability Engineer (Production Resilience)

Euroclear operates at the heart of global capital markets connecting over 2,000 financial institutions worldwide. Group Technology Services (GTS) plans, builds, and runs Euroclear's global IT infrastructure and service management across multiple international markets.

• 5–8+ years of relevant experience in Production Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Infrastructure/Platform Engineering, Monitoring/Observability Engineering, or Incident/Problem Management in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven hands-on experience with observability platforms, especially strong expertise in Splunk (data onboarding, SPL development, dashboarding, alerting logic, use-case design).
• Ability to handle standard and non-standard situations with low uncertainty covering multiple and new domains.
• Sound judgment in decision-making within the operational domain and fostering procedure improvements.
• Mastery of delivery processes and capability to drive medium-term domain evolution and change processes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with persuasion and influencing abilities.
• Autonomy to work on a large domain with full delivery responsibility.
• Experience managing medium teams/groups in operational delivery.

• Oversee maintenance and development of observability scenarios owned by Production.
• Identify blind spots and engage component/application owners to eliminate them via additional data feeds or queries.
• Support projects and component/application owners to meet monitoring/observability solution requirements and implementations.
• Support Business in implementing Service monitoring.
• Master the incident management process.
• Identify best practices and client performance gaps.
• Use tools to identify, align, and change factors affecting performance, stability, and teaming.
• Understand and assess client business operations to recommend solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technology and organizational specifications.
• Develop business cases and perform impact analyses engaging business and IT stakeholders.
• Work with business system colleagues to analyze high-level information requirements and support development processes.
• Ensure appropriate security and governance controls with regular recertification.
• Lead knowledge development within specific disciplines or industries.
• Manage stakeholders at the highest IT levels.
• Recommend acquisition of new hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
• Potentially perform team lead activities and ensure team member development.
• Focus on relationship management, innovation, and development of impactful business cases.
• Advise on tactical matters.
• Translate strategy and policies into improved processes, guidelines, standards, and models.
• Build strategy views on people, products & services, and cost.
• Ensure systems are properly operated, maintained, and evolved.
• Identify strategic capabilities for competitive advantage involving process, technology, organization, or knowledge.
