Snowflake Data Engineer

The project focuses on the assessment and transformation of a modern cloud-based data platform. The initiative is divided into two phases. The first phase involves evaluating the existing Azure and Snowflake environment, including architecture, cybersecurity, data protection, data models, and operational processes, followed by recommendations for improvements. The second phase focuses on implementing the target solution and building a scalable, secure Snowflake data platform.

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data processing.
• Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Knowledge of data modelling concepts and best practices.
• Experience working with Azure Data Services.
• Experience delivering cloud-based data solutions.
• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• 1.5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Python for data engineering tasks.
• Knowledge of dbt.
• Experience with data quality frameworks and validation processes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices in data engineering environments.

• Design and develop Snowflake data models supporting analytical and operational requirements.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Develop data processing workflows and optimize performance of data workloads.
• Configure and utilize Snowflake components based on platform requirements.
• Support CI/CD processes and deployment automation for data solutions.
• Ensure data solutions are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with engineering standards.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business teams to deliver high-quality data products.
• Contribute to testing, documentation, monitoring, and operational support activities.
