Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS/Azure)

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Kustomize, including RBAC, service accounts, and ingress controllers
• Proficient with AWS and Azure platforms including EKS, IAM, IRSA, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, S3, RDS, EFS, AKS, Azure DevOps, Azure Container Registry, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics
• Expert-level knowledge of Terraform including reusable modules and remote state management
• Expert in GitHub Actions and CI/CD best practices
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating JupyterHub/JupyterLab on Kubernetes, preferably on AWS EKS
• Practical experience in application, database, and storage migration strategies
• Strong understanding of cloud and Kubernetes networking including VPC/VNet, DNS, TLS certificates, load balancing, and traffic management
• Security mindset with experience in IAM, workload identity, Kubernetes RBAC, secrets management, and container image security
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
• Proficiency in scripting with Python or Bash

Nice to have:

• Experience with AKS to EKS migrations
• Experience migrating Azure DevOps YAML pipelines to GitHub Actions
• Experience with JupyterHub/JupyterLab in large enterprise environments
• Experience in data-intensive, analytics, or research-focused platforms

• Plan and execute migration of Kubernetes-based applications and platform components from Azure to AWS
• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform across Azure and AWS
• Migrate CI/CD pipelines from Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions
• Deploy, operate, and optimize Kubernetes platforms including troubleshooting and production support
• Lead migration activities for networking, identity, security, storage, and application integrations
• Support migration of data and persistent storage, including backup and rollback activities
• Deploy and manage JupyterHub/JupyterLab environments on Kubernetes ensuring scalability and security
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across cloud and Kubernetes
• Define and enforce cloud security best practices, IAM/RBAC, workload identity, and secrets management
• Automate operational processes using Python, Bash, and Infrastructure as Code
• Collaborate with application, platform, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful migration delivery
