Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer

Upvanta sp. z o.o. is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to participate in designing, developing, and launching modern solutions based on embedded systems. The role involves working fluently in both software code and electronics. The position is located in Wrocław with a hybrid work model.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in embedded systems design (firmware and hardware)
• Good knowledge of C/C++ in embedded contexts (bare-metal, RTOS)
• Practical knowledge of microcontrollers: STM32, ESP32, NXP, Nordic (nRF) or similar
• Knowledge of communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Modbus, USB
• Ability to read and create electronic schematics
• Experience with laboratory tools: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, lab power supply
• Experience debugging on hardware level (JTAG/SWD)
• Knowledge of RTOS systems (FreeRTOS, Zephyr)
• Experience with wireless communication (BLE, LoRa, Wi-Fi, Zigbee)
• Experience with OTA (Over-The-Air) updates
• Knowledge of Python/scripting
• Experience with version control and CI/CD for firmware (Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI)

• Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded systems: drivers, communication protocols, application logic
• Start up and debug hardware prototypes
• Collaborate on hardware and software layer integration
• Analyze problems at both electronics and code levels
• Create and maintain technical documentation for the project
