Senior Backend Engineer – Subscription & Account

Text is the company behind various text products including LiveChat, ChatBot, HelpDesk, KnowledgeBase, and OpenWidget. The Accounts & Subscription teams own billing and authorization services, which are fundamental to all Text applications.

• Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0 protocol including flows, token types, and authorization models; experience implementing OAuth.
• Strong experience with Go in production environments; ability to switch to Go from other languages with sufficient backend fundamentals.
• Solid experience with MySQL.
• Familiarity with GCP and Kubernetes.
• Proven track record of owning backend projects end-to-end, including design, cross-team coordination, and delivery.

Nice to have:

• Experience with billing, subscriptions, or payment systems.
• Experience with ClickHouse or similar columnar databases.

• Own the SSO service and OAuth implementation; lead technical decisions and propose improvements.
• Work on text-billing including subscriptions, usage-based pricing, and payment provider integrations.
• Drive projects end-to-end: design solutions from business requirements, coordinate dependent teams, set milestones, and ship.
• Proactively maintain services by identifying and resolving issues before they become incidents.
• Contribute to cross-company projects such as client migration to TextApp and ACAM role management improvements.
