Senior Test Automation Engineer (Java)

The position is for a Senior Test Automation Engineer at KUBO, working for a client in the medical and life sciences industry. The role involves developing automated tests for a desktop application running on a laboratory instrument, focusing on software quality and CI/CD support.

• Strong proficiency in Java, backed by senior-level experience in test automation.
• Experience with UI test automation tools or frameworks, specifically TestFX.
• Experience working with build tools such as Gradle and/or Maven.
• Knowledge of API testing.
• Very good knowledge of English.
• Willingness to occasionally work from the office in Wrocław a few times per month.

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for a desktop application running on a laboratory instrument.
• Analyse requirements and specifications to identify appropriate test strategies and test cases.
• Execute automated and manual tests as needed, and report defects with clear information.
• Monitor and improve test coverage, reliability and execution time of the test suites.
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines by integrating and optimizing automated tests.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, tools and processes in an Agile/Scrum team.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners and other QA engineers to ensure high software quality.
