IT Network Engineer

Group Technology Services (GTS) plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure of Euroclear, and is additionally responsible for IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. GTS operates its IT systems and IT services to deliver agreed service levels supporting business processes for normal operations and disaster recovery.

• Degree in Computer Science or certifications in Network Technologies or related disciplines (preferred)
• 5 to 10 years of experience in network-related fields
• Experience with network security management systems including Palo Alto and Checkpoint
• Experience administering Algosec Security Suite
• Good knowledge of routing and switching technologies such as BGP, ISIS, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, GRE, IPsec
• Excellent understanding of TCP/IP protocols and DNS (Infoblox), QoS
• Knowledge of Infoblox, F5, and CISCO ISE technologies
• Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, EPG is an asset
• Ability to work analytically and troubleshoot network issues
• Python development skills for network automation
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch are a plus

• Setting up, configuring, and supporting network applicative infrastructure including Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Panorama, Infoblox, and F5
• Reviewing, implementing, and enhancing the network environment
• Assisting with maintenance of corporate network documentation
• Troubleshooting network systems
• Providing network project support for enterprise and operational service upgrades
• Delivering infrastructure and related documentation for infrastructure and business projects
• Performing vulnerability assessment, validation, and upgrades on network systems/applications
• Maintaining processes like configuration management and monitoring of infrastructure
• Optimizing current network implementation and introducing automation services
• Integrating Watch-Duty role and supporting weekend interventions

This is a permanent position; freelance/contract arrangements are not offered.
