Splunk – Monitoring & Observability Engineer

Euroclear connects over 2,000 financial institutions globally, providing an open and resilient infrastructure for the stability of financial markets. Group Technology Services (GTS) manages and runs Euroclear's global infrastructure and IT service management to support business process requirements and disaster recovery.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in senior engineering roles with complex technical ownership.
• Hands-on expertise in Splunk administration, configuration, data onboarding, search, dashboards, and alerting.
• Skills in automation and scripting using Ansible, Powershell, or Python.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, and network technologies.
• Plus experience with Dynatrace, Cribl, Tivoli Monitoring, Netcool Omnibus, Flexera, OpenTelemetry, Azure, Openshift, and AIOps/AI-assisted observability.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work autonomously on complex topics.
• Experience leading technical discussions and driving best practices.
• Agile work experience and ability to handle pressure and deadlines.
• Fluency in English.

• Ensure operational reliability, resilience, stability, and continuous improvement of monitoring and observability platforms.
• Act as a senior technical leader for support activities including incidents, alerts, changes, and problem management.
• Collaborate with IT experts and stakeholders to capture and prioritize monitoring requirements.
• Design and lead implementation of monitoring, alerting, dashboarding, log ingestion, and automation solutions.
• Lead architecture and design discussions across infrastructure and application domains.
• Drive standardization, industrialization, governance, and strategic evolution of Enterprise System Management solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve scalability.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, security requirements, and controls.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Own complex cross-team initiatives and influence technical roadmap for observability and automation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in Watch-Duty rotation and support out-of-hours activities when required.
