Senior PHP Engineer

Lendable is a UK-based fintech company with over 700 employees, profitable since 2017, backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs. The company focuses on rebuilding consumer finance products from scratch, including loans, credit cards, and car finance, targeting mainly the UK and US markets.

• Strong, business-oriented engineer with modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ required).
• Solid knowledge of a modern PHP framework such as Symfony or Laravel.
• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, and Event Sourcing is a significant plus.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and financial systems is a bonus.
• Excellent automated testing skills (unit, integration, functional) using tools like Behat, PHPUnit.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a highly collaborative team.
• High degree of ownership and autonomy.
• Experience in a cross-functional environment is a plus but not essential.

• Build and integrate new APIs to enhance the customer journey.
• Optimize existing lending platforms.
• Participate in deep architectural discussions to shape product futures.
• Collaborate across product teams including Zable Card, Autolend, Lendable Loans, and Internal Tools.
