Cloud Architect | Hungary

Deloitte is building out a cloud architecture practice in Hungary focused on clients moving core infrastructure to the cloud. The role involves designing and standing up landing zones, network foundations, and platform patterns for cloud estates in regulated industries such as banking.

• 3-5+ years in technology consulting or comparable client-facing architect role
• Hands-on experience designing cloud infrastructure on at least one hyperscaler platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficiency with IaC tooling and modern architecture patterns including microservices, API/integration design, basic data architecture, and CI/CD
• Strong communication skills to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
• Fluency in English and Hungarian
• EU citizenship or valid work permit for Hungary

Nice to have:

• Broader architecture exposure in integration, data, cybersecurity, or enterprise applications
• Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, cloud operating models, or migration strategies
• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or TOGAF
• German language skills at Upper-Intermediate level or higher

• Design landing zones, network topology (hub-spoke, transit gateway), and identity/federation models across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
• Define infrastructure-as-code patterns (e.g., Terraform, Bicep/ARM, CloudFormation, Pulumi) for use by other teams
• Design architectures for high availability, disaster recovery, resilience, and multi-region setups
• Build security-by-design principles into the architecture including encryption, key management, and compliance with frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR
• Develop application modernization approaches and evaluate trade-offs (rehost/replatform/refactor)
• Translate architectural decisions for CIO/CTO-level stakeholders
• Participate in build-vs-buy and platform selection discussions

EU citizenship or valid work permit to work in Hungary is required.
