Software Engineer I, Fullstack (Servicing International)

Affirm is reinventing credit to provide buy now, pay later options without hidden fees or compounding interest. The Engineering team builds reliable, scalable systems that enable these financial services, focusing on user experience and global expansion. This role is part of the Servicing International team developing foundational platform components for new international markets, concentrating on purchase protection (disputes and refunds) and agent tooling.

• Previous experience or internship developing web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue
• Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin
• Ability to translate simple problems or business scenarios into solutions interacting with multiple software components, writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code
• Comfortable navigating large codebases, debugging others' code, and providing feedback through code reviews
• Takes ownership of personal growth and proactively seeks feedback from team, manager, and stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team

• Work on tasks contributing to the team's projects and goals
• Collaborate proactively with team members and stakeholders to create visibility and dialog on risks and trade-offs
• Balance speed and quality to meet business goals while protecting system uptime
