The role is for a Business Analyst to join a team working on a project for an EU institution in Warsaw, offered by SHIMI Sp. z o.o.
Wymagania
- Higher education.
- At least 8 years experience in IT, with at least 5 years at a similar Business Analyst position.
- Experience through at least one complete software solution lifecycle.
- Knowledge in business process modelling using BPMN notation.
- Knowledge in requirements and user stories elicitation and analysis.
- Knowledge of analysis/modelling notations such as UML (capability diagram, activity diagram, state diagram, logical data model).
- Proficient in modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect, or others.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively.
- Problem solving skills.
- Experience as a Business Analyst in projects related to the analysis, design, implementation, and deployment of ICT solutions part of or querying the Schengen Information System.
- Experience with ICT solutions including (1) scanning fingerprints using NIST format, (2) scanning MRZ documents, or (3) scanning biometric documents with RFID chip data.
- Knowledge and experience in Data Privacy, Data Protection Impact Assessments, and Information Security Risk Assessment in the context of EU Institutions.
- Holds at least 2 certifications among Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent, Certified UML Professional foundation level or BPM 2 fundamental level or equivalent internationally recognized certifications.

- Models and documents value chain/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities and data.
- Elicits and analyses business needs, requirements and user stories.
- Supports business experts and product owners during definition of requirements and software development.
- Maintains and tracks requirements/user stories in systems lifecycle.
- Transfers business, users and technical needs into business requirements specification.
- Maps business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, system features.
- Analyses available systems.
- Supports identification of options for potential solutions.
- Supports preparation of business cases and feasibility studies.
- Contributes to systems design, testing, quality assurance, change management.
- Responsible for designing, validating, and testing business processes for achieving business process excellence.
- Responsible for taking a holistic approach in the planning and managing of programmes for continuous improvements of business processes.
- Responsible for coaching staff on upcoming changes, ensuring plans to teach new skills and/or process changes.
- Collaborates with owners of end-to-end processes to seek process improvements.
- Identifies opportunities for business process improvement leading to improved customer service, lower costs, or higher revenue.
- Communicates project objectives, business case, requirements, and scope to stakeholders for rapid responses to business needs.
- Quantitatively analyses business processes, performing cost-benefit and what-if analysis.
- Plans organizational changes process.
- Implements performance monitoring systems for business processes.
- Supports business users in developing strategic and tactical plans.
- Supports definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures.
