Senior Data Scientist - Credit Risk

Creditstar Group is a rapidly growing international consumer finance company operating in multiple European markets. The company is headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia and the vision is to build and deliver digital banking products of the future.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in data science.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, or Statistics.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and Python (or a similar scripting language).
• Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good project management skills.
• Proactive attitude, sense of ownership, ability to work autonomously and coach others.
• Startup mindset with willingness to work in a fast-evolving environment.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Passion for the work.

Nice to have:

• Experience in project and people leadership.
• Previous work experience in the Financial/Fintech sector.

• Build models based on data to predict customers’ payment behavior.
• Design A/B experiments, analyze results, and provide decision recommendations.
• Work closely with stakeholders to analyze complex data and deliver data-driven insights.
• Review work and provide feedback to data analysts and data scientists.
• Share knowledge and provide training on data processing and analytics best practices.
• Define data science strategy and align it with management and teams.
• Propose, assess, prioritize, and lead data science projects.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure optimal data infrastructure.
• Research and implement best practices and standards in Data Science across product teams.
