Lead Data Architect - Marketing & Sales

The role is within the Digital Hub Warsaw, specifically the Data Assets, Analytics & AI team at Bayer Consumer Health, which focuses on digital transformation and innovation through analytical solutions supporting data-driven decision making and performance optimization.

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
• Over 8 years experience in data-related roles, 5+ years in Data & Analytics, preferably in Commercial/Marketing sectors such as eCommerce or FMCG.
• Strong data architecture, engineering, and data management skills including data quality.
• Expertise in Azure Databricks, ADF, Azure Container Services, and AI application architectures (e.g., RAG, Langraph, Langchain).
• Programming skills in SQL, Python, R and BI/reporting tools like PowerBi or Tableau; knowledge of AzureML and Snowflake is a plus.
• Business domain knowledge in consumer & commercial data including activation, ecommerce, sell-out, POS, and retail data.
• Experience leading implementation teams both from vendors and internal engineers.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical abilities, and business judgement.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; fluent English.
• Intercultural awareness and willingness to travel occasionally.

• Lead technical implementation of analytic projects focused on Consumer and Customer data, ensuring best practices and scalable data products.
• Design and manage integration of various data sources and reusable data models to meet business needs.
• Contribute to data management and implement proper processes leveraging best practices with core data asset architects.
• Initiate Architecture Change Advisory Boards, collaborating with data architects and analytics teams to ensure sustainable pipelines.
• Collaborate with global and regional business stakeholders and IT teams to align delivery with business priorities.
• Steer external providers and internal teams as architect and lead engineer, providing estimations and assuring quality.
• Contribute to enriching cloud-based data and analytics technology stacks as needed.
