Senior Golang Software Engineer

Wakacje.pl is the largest e-commerce platform and network of travel agencies in Poland, fulfilling travel dreams for 25 years. It is part of Wirtualna Polska Holding since 2015, offering a wide range of travel products including domestic and international trips, travel insurance, airport parking, and holiday vouchers. The IT team includes over 100 specialists such as Developers, DevOps Engineers, Testers, Project Managers, Architects, and Analysts working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on Go (Golang)
• Proven experience in designing and building distributed systems and microservices
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns such as Hexagonal and Clean Architecture
• Proficiency with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and gRPC
• Familiarity with the Gin Framework
• Experience with ElasticSearch and Redis
• English proficiency at communicative B2 level

Nice to have:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of message brokers: Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience with observability tools: Kibana, Grafana, Sentry
• Practical understanding of DDD (Domain-Driven Design)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Track record of process optimization and improving development workflows

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance Go-based applications for internal and external clients
• Ensure clean, scalable, and maintainable code through strict reviews and best practices
• Proactively identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance
• Act as a technical mentor supporting leadership in Individual Development Plans and guiding developers through architectural changes
• Propose new ideas and select appropriate technologies to solve complex business problems
• Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver value
• Create comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure reliability
