Senior Data Engineer

FUN CRAFTERS SP. Z O O. is building a new mobile game with the ambition of reaching hundreds of millions of users and processing billions of events every day. The role involves working on the core data platform that powers decision-making across product, LiveOps, and marketing as a founding engineer on the data team.

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering building scalable data platforms and pipelines.
• Expertise in cloud platforms, preferably AWS (S3, Kinesis, ECS, Athena).
• Experience with modern data stack tools like dbt.
• Hands-on experience with ETL orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and analytics best practices (schema design, partitioning, versioning).
• Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure as code.
• Proficient in Python and strong skills in writing and optimizing SQL.
• Ability to contribute to architectural discussions and technical decisions.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

• Design and build the data platform powering product insights, LiveOps, and marketing.
• Develop and maintain high-quality data pipelines transforming raw gameplay data into clean, structured datasets.
• Collaborate with analysts and game teams to understand data needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Define data quality standards and build automated monitoring, alerting, and validation systems.
• Develop and maintain services for interacting with partners and third-party services.
• Promote best engineering practices including observability, testing, performance optimization, cost awareness, and reliability.
