DevOps Engineering Manager (f/m/x)

Sii Polska is hiring for a DevOps Engineering Manager to join a global biotechnology organization undergoing significant technology transformation, with globally distributed teams across Poland, India, and the United States. The role focuses on leadership with a strong background in DevOps and cloud engineering, working with complex enterprise ecosystems including ERP platforms like Oracle, SAP, or Salesforce.

• At least 6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering, including a minimum of 3 years leading global engineering teams across multiple geographies and time zones
• Strong leadership mindset with ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and drive accountability
• Experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Release Engineering
• Experience with enterprise platforms and ERP ecosystems such as Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, or similar business-critical systems
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
• Expertise in DevOps and DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, security, and observability
• Experience working within Agile delivery models and large-scale enterprise organizations
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and offshore delivery teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken)

Nice to have:

• Experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of GxP, SOX, or other compliance frameworks
• Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, GitOps, and cloud-native architectures
• Relevant cloud, DevOps, or engineering leadership certifications

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing global DevOps and Release Engineering teams
• Foster an automation-first culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Own delivery outcomes, platform stability, release processes, and team performance
• Establish and govern enterprise DevOps and Release Management practices across internally managed and vendor-supported platforms
• Drive modernization initiatives involving cloud-native architectures, containerization, microservices, GitOps, and CI/CD automation
• Ensure platform reliability, observability, and operational excellence through monitoring, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Define and monitor key performance indicators for deployment success, release quality, platform availability, and engineering productivity
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and guide strategic technology decisions
• Ensure compliance with security, quality, and regulatory requirements, including SOX and GxP environments
• Evaluate, select, and manage DevOps tools, platforms, and emerging technologies
