IT specialist

Sybilla Technologies designs, builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in complete systems and software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling of networks of sensors. They work in domains including Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, field service, or similar roles.
• Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 and/or Windows Server administration.
• Practical knowledge of PC/server hardware, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with technical documentation and standardized procedures.
• Good command of English for working with technical documentation.
• Ability to reach the Bydgoszcz office within approximately 60 minutes when required.
• Availability for occasional business trips (up to 4 65 days).
• Category B driving licence.

Nice to have:

• Experience with MikroTik RouterOS or network device configuration.
• PowerShell or other scripting/automation skills.
• Linux/Ubuntu administration experience.
• Experience supporting remote or distributed installations.
• Knowledge of storage, backup, monitoring, UPS/PDU, or IPMI solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, or Intune/MDM.
• Knowledge of German.

• Prepare, configure, and test computers and supporting hardware for distributed sensor installations.
• Install and maintain Windows systems, drivers, applications, and updates.
• Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, network, and connectivity issues remotely and on-site.
• Support network and remote-access configurations.
• Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and test results.
• Support user accounts, permissions, backups, and routine IT operations.
• Contribute to process improvements and basic automation initiatives.
• Participate in local work in Bydgoszcz and occasional business trips of up to 4 65 days supporting sensor deployment and maintenance.
• Support infrastructure in colocation and secondary locations (Toru
  44, Zielonka, Bydgoszcz).
