BI Developer (Mental Health Care)

Our client is a clinician-founded medical and behavioral health organization providing integrated mental health care across the United States. Founded in 2011, the company combines psychotherapy, psychiatry, and nutritional counseling through a telehealth-first hybrid care model. The care model focuses on the whole person, helping clients address mental health challenges, improve relationships, support personal growth, and work toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Required:

• 8+ years of experience developing enterprise Business Intelligence and analytics solutions.
• Expert-level Tableau development, including dashboard creation, performance optimization, administration, and reusable data sources.
• Strong understanding of BI UX, dashboard design, and data storytelling.
• Advanced SQL skills for custom Tableau data sources.
• Experience with Snowflake as a reporting and analytics platform.
• Ability to translate business requirements into intuitive dashboards and executive reports.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate or higher.
• Ability to maintain daily overlap with US team until at least 12:30 PM Pacific Time.

Nice to have:

• Experience with dbt, analytics engineering, dimensional modeling.
• Advanced Snowflake skills including query optimization, Tasks, Streams, and performance tuning.
• Python scripting for automation and data processing.
• Familiarity with Streamlit for internal analytics apps.
• Experience with Fivetran and Tableau Prep.
• Data quality validation, reconciliation, and governance practices.
• Experience with event-driven data architectures and AWS data services.
• Experience with Snowflake Cortex, LLM-powered analytics, and AI-ready data architectures.
• Healthcare domain experience including payer, EMR/EHR, Revenue Cycle Management, CRM, or Athenahealth.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7.

Dashboard Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain production Tableau dashboards and scorecards using curated Snowflake data sources.
• Translate business requirements into intuitive dashboards, wireframes, KPIs, and visual analytics.
• Design dashboards for executive leadership, operational teams, finance, and clinical stakeholders.
• Apply BI UX best practices and data storytelling techniques.

Tableau Development & Administration:

• Develop reusable, certified Tableau data sources.
• Optimize workbook performance with Tableau Performance Recorder and best practices.
• Manage live vs extract strategies and refresh schedules.
• Publish and manage content within Tableau Cloud/Server including permissions, subscriptions, and alerts.
• Maintain governance standards and certified data sources.

Analytics & Business Partnership:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define KPIs.
• Conduct dashboard demonstrations, user training, and adoption sessions.
• Document business definitions, metric calculations, and dashboard usage guidelines.
• Partner with Analytics Engineers to ensure use of trusted datasets.

Data & Reporting Quality:

• Validate dashboard accuracy and reconcile metrics with source systems.
• Identify improvements for reporting performance and simplify reporting.
• Promote self-service analytics through reusable data sources and standardized reporting.

Collaboration:

• Work with Analytics Engineers to define reporting requirements and enhance semantic models.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, design reviews, and workshops.
• Provide recommendations on usability, visualization standards, and reporting strategy.
