SAP FICO Tax Consultant

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• 8+ years of SAP FICO implementation experience
• Proven experience in at least two full SAP implementation life cycles
• Strong expertise in SAP FI and integrations with CO, SD, and MM modules
• Deep knowledge of SAP Tax configuration and indirect taxes (VAT/GST)
• Practical experience with statutory and tax requirements in Germany and other EU countries
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Fluent English, both written and spoken

Nice to have:

• Experience with SAP DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance)
• Knowledge of external tax engines such as ONESOURCE or Sovos
• ABAP debugging skills for tax calculation and interface troubleshooting
• Experience with e-invoicing and digital tax reporting solutions
• Good command of German

• Design and deliver automated tax determination logic in SAP S/4HANA using the condition technique
• Analyze business requirements and translate tax regulations into functional SAP solutions
• Ensure seamless tax integration across SAP SD, MM, and FI modules
• Configure and maintain interfaces with external tax engines such as ONESOURCE or Sovos
• Support local statutory reporting requirements, including SAF-T and real-time reporting solutions
• Lead Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT activities for tax-related enhancements and implementations
• Troubleshoot complex tax calculation and integration issues in high-volume transaction environments
• Investigate and resolve e-invoicing submission failures and tax reporting discrepancies
• Collaborate with business and IT teams as the primary tax process advisor
