Senior Project Manager

Fibertide employs engineers with strong mathematical and computer science backgrounds. They design, maintain and develop large-scale cloud systems for companies from the U.S. and Europe, including startups and established businesses requiring technology improvements for large user bases, big datasets, and rapid growth.

• 3+ years of professional experience leading or managing a team in cloud/SRE/large-scale/high-complexity systems environments
• 5+ years of experience working as a software engineer in projects requiring strong skills related to Computer Science, networking, operating systems, database optimization or distributed systems
• Great communication skills, including English and Polish at C1+ level, with ability to engage clients verbally and in writing
• Understanding of team dynamics and ability to manage effectiveness, new needs, conflicts, and priority changes
• Time management skills for self and assisting others
• Willingness to develop skills translating between technical and business languages
• Solid understanding of cloud systems' purpose and mechanisms
• Experience developing software in C++, Go or Python
• Experience building systems in AWS, GCP or Azure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
• Experience delivering solutions with security and compliance focus, such as implementing policies related to ISO27001
• Degree in Computer Science or related fields such as Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics

Nice to have:

• Excellence in theoretical Computer Science or Mathematics
• Significant experience managing complex Kubernetes clusters
• Strong experience working with external clients in the US and UK markets
• Fluency in French, German, Spanish, Danish, or Dutch

• Managing projects of international reach
• Managing and leading small teams of engineers (around 5 people per team)
• Ensuring that company goals, clients' expectations and your teams' needs are aligned and in harmony
• Designing project-specific formalized procedures for recurring activities
• Providing feedback and performing cross-department tasks for other divisions of the company
