Mid/Senior Symfony Developer | Legacy Modernization | Fluent English

Polcode is a Poland-based software house operating since 2006, building web, mobile, and eCommerce products for startups and established companies across Europe and the US. They emphasize a people-first culture while being deeply tech-driven. The role is remote within Poland or onsite in Warszawa.

• Strong Mid/Senior-level commercial experience with PHP and Symfony
• Hands-on experience with older Symfony versions
• Experience upgrading or migrating Symfony applications to newer versions
• Confidence working with mature and legacy codebases
• Ability to understand existing solutions and improve them pragmatically
• Fluent English (C1/C2) with excellent communication skills
• Proactive and fully engaged development team member

Nice to have:

• Experience with GitLab and CI/CD
• Familiarity with microservice-based environments
• Exposure to Go or integration with Go-based services

• Develop and maintain an established Symfony application
• Work with legacy code and older Symfony versions
• Contribute to Symfony upgrades and gradual stack modernization
• Analyze existing solutions and introduce pragmatic improvements
• Collaborate directly with the client’s development team
• Participate actively in daily meetings, planning sessions, and Agile team activities
• Work within an environment using GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
