Senior Hardware Engineer

Kidde Global Solutions operates in the Research & Development / Engineering department specializing in electronic security systems, specifically intrusion alarm systems. The position is based in Gdańsk with a hybrid work model.

• Several years of experience in designing mixed-signal electronic products and circuits (analog and digital)
• Strong skills in performing and interpreting electronic measurements (oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, vector analyzer)
• Ability to independently analyze projects and propose stable, production-ready solutions
• Good command of English, both spoken and written
• Higher technical education in electronics, electrical engineering, or related fields

Nice to have:

• Experience designing devices for intrusion/security systems
• Experience in microcontroller programming
• Knowledge of CAD tools such as Altium Designer, CADSTAR, PADS
• Experience with Value Engineering or sustaining engineering activities
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and factory collaboration
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools, especially Jira and Confluence

• Collaborate in defining product features and functionalities for intrusion systems
• Participate actively in Value Engineering (VE) activities including cost analysis and project optimization
• Maintain and develop existing products (sustaining engineering)
• Prepare and update project documentation
• Design electronic devices including schematics and PCB layouts
• Select electronic components and propose substitutes managing EOL and PCN risks
• Perform electronic circuit simulations
• Bring-up of designed devices
• Conduct prototype and initial testing
• Define and verify qualification test plans
• Support factory during production ramp-up and engineering changes
• Analyze defects and root causes
• Troubleshoot issues in serial products
• Participate in project reviews
• Collaborate with external electrical and mechanical design providers
