Monitoring Specialist

Bioseco creates bird protection systems for wind farms and airports. They combine R&D, engineering, IT, IoT, data analysis, production, service, and natural knowledge. The product is developed in Gdańsk and is used by customers worldwide. Their technology must work reliably in real conditions, necessitating monitoring that provides a clear picture of infrastructure, applications, and distributed system environments.

• Practical production experience with Grafana and Prometheus (dashboards, alerts, PromQL).
• Experience integrating multiple monitoring data sources.
• Knowledge of time series databases (e.g., InfluxDB, VictoriaMetrics).
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation and integration.
• Knowledge of REST API and basic Git.
• Familiarity with Docker (running, configuring, maintaining services).
• Fluency in Polish.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Zabbix (administration, integration).
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, collectors, exporters.
• Tools like KeepHQ, Grafana IRM, Alerta, PagerDuty, Opsgenie.
• Developing custom exporters/connectors/data sources.
• Linux administration.
• Automation tools such as Ansible.

• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of monitoring tools.
• Administration of Grafana, Prometheus, Alertmanager, Zabbix, and time series databases.
• Integration of data from multiple sources including external systems, databases, custom data sources, and monitoring tools.
• Creation of dashboards in Grafana for technical, operational, and business teams.
• Building and optimizing alerts, alarm rules, escalations, and notification logic.
• Analysis of metrics, logs, and events to detect failures, anomalies, and performance issues.
• Development of observability solutions based on OpenTelemetry or similar standards.
• Automation and standardization of monitoring processes.
• Collaboration with technical teams, support, vendors, and stakeholders.
