Lead Sound Designer

CD PROJEKT RED is focused on creating revolutionary, story-driven RPGs. This position is part of the Audio Department working on the project "The Witcher 4" in their Warsaw studio.

• 7+ years of professional experience in the video game industry with multiple shipped AAA titles.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role related to sound design or audio direction.
• Strong creative skills with portfolio, demo reel, or game credits.
• Collaborative approach to resolving design challenges.
• Exceptional artistic and creative competence.
• Effective cross-disciplinary communication skills.
• Ability to manage timelines and coordinate with teams.
• Skilled communicator providing supportive leadership.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Atmos, Surround Sound, 3D Audio, and HRTF.
• Experience working with performance capture.
• Experience planning and executing field and Foley recording sessions.

• Lead a team of Sound Designers and drive game audio development in the project.
• Define and maintain aesthetic continuity throughout the game and trailers aligned with previous IP releases.
• Collaborate with Directors, Leads, Producers, and cross-discipline teams (Music, VO, Programmers) to craft immersive audio experiences.
• Plan, track, and execute milestones, sprints, and roadmap deliverables.
• Support and coach team members to achieve high-quality in-game audio and foster growth.
• Support the design and development of audio systems using Unreal Engine 5, Wwise middleware, and in-house tools.
• Design, implement, and mix original sound effects.

In-office full-time or hybrid work mode in Warsaw, Poland. Relocation is required. The contract type is Employment Contract ("Umowa o pracę").
