Senior Validation Specialist

Bayer Consumer Health's Data Assets, Analytics & AI team is focused on digital transformation and innovation, creating analytical solutions to enable data-driven decision making and performance optimization. The role is part of the Data Assets, Analytics & AI organization responsible for leading the validation of the system integration platform called Integration Mesh.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 7+ years experience in validation of computer systems in pharmaceutical or medical device industries with leadership experience
• Strong IT background with experience in foundational technical platforms, distributed systems architectures (e.g., microservices), and system integration technologies (e.g., APIs, message brokers, stream processing)
• Familiarity with AWS SQS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, Node.js, and GitHub
• Familiarity with AI and AI-augmented tooling is a plus
• Proven effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in writing validation plans and other CSV-related documents
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in CSV documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Lead the validation work and the validation team for the Integration Mesh platform, including planning timelines and aligning with the quality team
• Develop, review, and execute validation plans for computer systems compliant with regulatory requirements
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all validation documentation according to standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify validation requirements and ensure successful implementation
• Create Change requests and conduct risk assessments and impact analyses for global and local systems
• Guide team in writing and reviewing system lifecycle documents such as requirements and technical specifications related to CSV
• Write and review protocols, reports, and other validation-related documents
• Manage approval workflows for CSV deliverables using Bayer document management systems
• Work with global and local sites regarding global or local system/modules
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for Document Management System to support queries and audits
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members on validation best practices
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in validation technologies, including AI and digital solutions
• Participate and lead audits and inspections from the Integration Mesh perspective
• Support creation and updating of training materials for systems in scope
