Senior GCP Cloud Platform Engineer

Upvanta sp. z o.o. is recruiting for a senior role in a large-scale international project based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, supporting Saudi Aramco's extensive use of the Google Cloud Platform. The project is planned for a minimum of 12 months with possible continuation, including relocation assistance supported by the employer.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Cloud Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation
• Strong practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Expert knowledge of Terraform
• Experience building enterprise landing zones
• Practical knowledge of Google Fabric Fast
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps pipelines
• Experience migrating and modernizing applications from on-premise to GCP
• Strong knowledge of GKE / Kubernetes, IAM, cloud networking, security policies, resource monitoring, and cloud-native architectures
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Google Cloud Build
• Ability to create reusable and secure Terraform modules
• Experience managing Terraform state and automating governance via Infrastructure as Code
• Higher education in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Strong analytical, consulting, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work 100% onsite in Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Required Active Google Cloud Certifications:

• Google Cloud Certified – Associate Cloud Engineer or equivalent Professional level such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Developer
• Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Network Engineer
• Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Security Engineer

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade GCP platform services
• Build and develop scalable enterprise landing zones
• Utilize and develop Google Fabric Fast solutions
• Create and maintain secure and scalable Infrastructure as Code
• Design advanced Terraform modules
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code DevOps pipelines
• Automate provisioning processes and infrastructure management
• Participate in migration and modernization of applications from on-premises to GCP
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders
• Support teams in resolving complex GCP issues
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in GCP Platform Engineering
• Maintain security, compliance, and enterprise cloud standards

All positions require 100% onsite presence in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not possible.
