Head of Development

Goelett is building the central Product and Technology Hub for the S4BT Group, redefining the collaboration between product and engineering under a unified Product House and Value Stream framework.

• Deep experience in SaaS, Cloud, and enterprise-grade architecture.
• Proven track record in technology transformation and modernization.
• Strong people leadership and organizational development skills.
• Excellent communication and alignment with non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with operational execution discipline.
• 10+ years experience in software engineering including senior engineering management.
• Proven experience building and scaling distributed engineering organizations.
• Strong foundation in .NET, Azure, and API-driven platforms.
• Experience in payments, travel, or financial technology sectors is an advantage.
• English language proficiency at B2 level.

Engineering Leadership & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional agile squads including developers, testers, and technical support.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Align technical teams with product strategy and business goals.
• Set clear performance goals and ensure delivery on sprint commitments and quality standards.

Product Development & Delivery:

• Oversee end-to-end product delivery from planning to post-launch support.
• Translate product roadmap into technical objectives and sprint plans.
• Collaborate with Head of Product on feasibility, scalability, and delivery.
• Drive adoption of working backwards concept in agile teams.
• Monitor velocity, cycle times, and quality metrics.

Quality Assurance & Technical Excellence:

• Lead testing and QA efforts ensuring robust coverage and product reliability.
• Implement development standards, code review, and release management.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies transparently.
• Collaborate with technical support for seamless handover and incident resolution.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and implement tools, workflows, and automation to enhance productivity.
• Analyze performance to drive improvements.
• Foster learning through retrospectives, training, and experimentation.
