Senior Project Manager – VMware Exit & Azure Migration (m/f/d)

digatus personal GmbH is an IT services group providing consulting, software engineering, cloud transformation, infrastructure, and IT operations services. The Poland team in Wrocław is expanding its technology and project delivery capabilities and collaborates with colleagues and customers across Europe.

• Several years of experience as a Senior Project Manager leading complex IT infrastructure, cloud, or transformation programs.
• Proven track record in large-scale infrastructure migrations, ideally VMware exit or virtualization transformations.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and cloud transformation projects; experience with Azure Native environments preferred.
• Solid knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, Nutanix, and Hyper-V.
• Experience in project planning, governance, risk management, dependency management, and delivery control.
• Experience working with Agile or hybrid project methodologies in enterprise environments.
• Proactive and execution-focused leadership skills to drive cross-functional teams beyond formal authority.
• Excellent English communication skills; German language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Germany for workshops and critical project phases.

• Take end-to-end responsibility for planning, execution, tracking, and governance of the infrastructure migration project.
• Coordinate the migration of complex VMware workloads including vApps and vTemplates.
• Drive the transition towards Azure Native, Nutanix, and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Structure migration waves, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables ensuring reliable execution at multiple sites.
• Coordinate stakeholders across infrastructures, cloud, application, and business domains internationally.
• Establish transparent project governance, track progress, risks, dependencies, and report to management.
• Identify critical dependencies, resolve blockers, and escalate issues to guarantee project delivery.
• Collaborate closely with international technical teams and external technology partners throughout the transformation.
