Kubernetes Platform Engineering Team Lead

INFOPLUS TECHNOLOGIES is hiring for a Platform Engineering Team Lead role based in Kraków, Poland. The company operates a global engineering team with a local team of 5 members focusing on Kubernetes platform infrastructure. The position involves managing and supporting an internal Kubernetes platform with hybrid work arrangements.

• Hands-on experience with container and Kubernetes infrastructure management and production environment operations
• Engineering skills to develop automation, APIs, and pipelines managing infrastructure
• Core competencies: Linux OS, Container, Kubernetes, and K8S native systems like Istio, Cilium, CSI solutions
• Ability to script in shell languages such as Bash
• Programming skills in high-level languages such as Python or Golang
• Experience with orchestration tools like Jenkins and Ansible (core & AAP)
• Experience with observability tools like Splunk and Datadog
• Experience in infrastructure lifecycle management and software lifecycle development using Github
• Awareness of ITIL practices
• Proactive approach to problem spotting, improvement, and performance bottleneck identification
• Proficiency in English for business communication

• Provide end-to-end platform engineering and lifecycle management on Internal Kubernetes Platform • Build tools and automation to manage platform infrastructure and services lifecycle • Develop platform operations to orchestrate automation solutions • Improve reliability, quality, and upgrade times for cluster and service versions • Measure and optimize system performance and resource utilization • Build dashboards and visualizations for platform status transparency • Detect system issues and develop self-healing solutions • Provide operational support and engineering for multiple software development teams • Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning • Implement infrastructure changes during weekends or outside normal hours • Support and manage a small local team of 5 people and coordinate with Global Engineering Team Lead
