Senior Data Governance Consultant

Senior Data Governance Consultant role for a strategic project in the banking sector at P&P Solutions. The consultant will act as a subject matter leader in transformation, collaborating with business, IT, risk, compliance, and audit areas.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in data management, Business Intelligence, or business analysis.
• Minimum 4 years as an independent consultant or expert.
• Practical experience in implementing Data Governance and building a data-driven organization.
• Strong knowledge of Data Quality, Data Architecture, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, Data Security & Privacy.
• Experience conducting Data Governance maturity assessments.
• Ability to facilitate workshops and collaborate with business, IT, compliance, and audit teams.
• Experience designing policies, procedures, instructions, and RACI matrices.
• Knowledge of business-level data architecture (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Lineage, API, MDM, Data Catalog).
• Experience organizing Self-Service BI and analytics governance processes.
• General knowledge of the DAMA-DMBOK v2 standard.
• Highly developed communication and consulting skills.

Nice to have:

• Practical implementations aligned with DAMA-DMBOK v2.
• Experience in the banking sector or regulated organizations.
• Experience implementing Data Governance in financial institutions.
• Familiarity with tools supporting Self-Service BI and Data Catalog.
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certificate.

• Lead and coordinate the implementation of the Data Management Strategy.
• Translate post-audit recommendations into organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Design and implement the Data Governance model.
• Conduct workshops and consultations with business and technical stakeholders.
• Support implementation of Data Catalog, Master Data Management, and Data Quality.
• Build a data-driven organizational culture focusing on Data Literacy and Data Ethics.
• Define roles, responsibilities, and collaboration models in data management.
• Support organizational change management and implement Data Governance best practices.
