Senior GCP Cloud Architect – Enterprise Modernization | Arabia Saudyjska (Dammam)

Upvanta sp. z o.o. is recruiting for a senior role focused on strategic modernization projects of enterprise environments based on Google Cloud Platform. The position is based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, requiring full on-site presence with comprehensive relocation support including visa formalities, flights, accommodation, and organizational assistance for starting work.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Cloud Architecture or Enterprise Solution Architecture.
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise modernization programs.
• Documented experience migrating legacy applications, monoliths, and on-premise infrastructure to cloud-native environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
• Expert knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience designing Enterprise Landing Zones, Shared VPC, IAM, Interconnect, VPN, Service Controls, Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP), and Cloud Armor.
• Strong knowledge of GKE, GKE Autopilot, Anthos, and Cloud Run.
• Experience working with enterprise clients and presenting architectural solutions to senior management and C-level.
• Very good knowledge of English language.
• Active certification: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of modern application development methodologies such as Twelve-Factor App.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of FinOps and optimization of Google Cloud costs.
• Experience developing architectural standards and mentoring technical teams.

• Design and implement enterprise architecture on Google Cloud Platform.
• Define application modernization and legacy environment migration strategies to cloud-native architectures.
• Design and develop enterprise landing zones and multi-region GCP environments.
• Make architectural decisions related to migration strategies (re-platform, refactor, re-architect).
• Design solutions based on GKE, GKE Autopilot, Anthos, and Cloud Run.
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Design secure environments using IAM, Shared VPC, Cloud Armor, Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP), Service Controls, Interconnect, and VPN.
• Collaborate with security teams, engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Provide technical consultancy and present architecture and recommendations to senior management and C-level executives.

The position requires full on-site work in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with no possibility of remote or hybrid work. Candidates should be ready for relocation for the project duration. Data processing information is provided in accordance with applicable law.
