Senior Network Engineer Campus WAN (Cisco)

This role is within the technology industry serving the finance sector, focusing on Campus WAN network services. It involves leading and coordinating a team of Network Engineers, managing Cisco ASR/ISR routers, and ensuring operational efficiency at a financial project level.

• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Enterprise certification or equivalent.
• Experience with Cisco ASR/ISR routers.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS protocols.
• Leadership experience, especially with nearshore teams.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to have:

• Cisco SD-WAN Specialist certification.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices.
• Fluency in German.
• Experience with Ansible, Python, and CheckMK.

• Lead and coordinate the activities of Network Engineers in the Campus WAN area.
• Manage operational aspects of network services, including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Cisco ASR/ISR routers.
• Use protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS.
• Act as Technical Lead for major incidents with 24/7 on-call availability.
• Oversee Change, Release, Incident, and Problem Management processes.
• Handle Event, Availability, Capacity, Vulnerability, and CMDB Management.
• Participate in network planning, design, architecture, installation, and configuration.
• Optimize network performance and ensure quality assurance of configurations.
• Document processes according to guidelines.
