Senior UI Designer

intent is a company designing and co-creating connected devices since 2008, including wearables, smart audio, and health-tech hardware, working with clients like Oura, BOSE, and McIntosh. They have over 60 employees, operate fully remotely, and incorporate AI tools in their workflow.

• 4+ years of commercial experience in UI design, with a passion for product design
• Advanced Figma skills including design systems with components and auto-layouts
• Hands-on experience designing interfaces for IoT and connected devices
• Solid knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Android platform guidelines
• Some experience with motion and animation beyond static screens
• Basics of Photoshop and Illustrator
• Very good English (C1) for client communication
• Confidence presenting designs to clients and participating in pre-sales calls
• Initiative, ownership, and clear communication

Nice to have:

• Experience designing for wearables, health-tech, or smart audio
• Experience with motion design tools: After Effects, Rive, Lottie, or similar
• Experience running or co-running brand design work
• Familiarity with designer-developer handoff beyond mockups: design tokens, variables, naming conventions
• Genuine curiosity about the devices you design for, not just the interfaces

• Conduct design workshops with clients and turn messy inputs into clear design directions
• Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes for new and existing products and features, mostly native iOS and Android apps
• Design interfaces where software meets hardware: pairing flows, device status, sensor data visualization
• Support projects from initial design to final production, collaborating with developers, QA, and PMs
• Help implement and develop new branding
• Push and experiment with new ideas, trends, and tools, turning the good ones into team standards
• Share knowledge within and outside of intent through chapter sessions, tech talks, and the design community
• Use AI tools as part of daily workflow
