Senior Network Engineer - Firewall

The project is in the Finance Infrastructure industry and involves operational responsibility within RUN, focusing on configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of firewall systems.

• Check Point CCSE certification or higher.
• Fortinet NSE 4 certification or higher.
• Preferred knowledge of ITIL.
• Experience in technical leadership and mentoring.
• Fluent English; German proficiency is advantageous.
• Desirable knowledge of Ansible, Python, and CheckMK.

• Configuring and managing firewall settings using Check Point and Fortinet.
• Optimizing firewall performance.
• Conducting continuous monitoring and analysis of firewall systems.
• Testing and validating firewall configurations.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Performing quality assurance and troubleshooting based on FI-TS processes.
• Implementing changes following established processes.
• Documenting configurations according to guidelines.
• Providing operational responsibility within RUN, including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Offering technical leadership and mentoring for nearshore teams.
• Being prepared for on-call availability.

This role requires on-call availability. The project language is English, with German as a nice-to-have. Business trips are 1-2 times per year. The recruitment process involves one interview. The contract type is B2B with a 6-month duration plus potential extensions.
