Senior Software Engineer - Kubernetes Platform

CloudFerro S.A. develops technology used by European leaders in science and the space sector, including ESA, EUMETSAT, ECMWF, Mercator Ocean International, DLR, and EGI. The company is building a sovereign European cloud platform based on Kubernetes and open source technologies, delivering a full PaaS stack including serverless, managed databases, MLOps, monitoring, and observability.

• Experience with Kubernetes: independently building or operating complex systems running on K8s.
• Designing distributed systems with practical skills in creating scalable and reliable services.
• Proficiency in Go and good knowledge of Python: developing operators, controllers, APIs, and CLI tools.
• Integration and API skills: building API wrappers and integrations with REST/gRPC frameworks.
• Ability to use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Copilot as part of daily work.

Nice to have:

• Experience with ML platforms such as Kubeflow, JupyterHub, and GPU scheduling on Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with observability stack: Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with multi-tenant monitoring exposing metrics and logs per client.
• Creating custom resources for Terraform providers.
• Experience working at a cloud provider.
• Open source contributions, especially in the CNCF ecosystem.

• Full ownership of MLOps and Observability: responsible for Kubeflow, Airflow, Jupyter Notebooks, and Observability as a Service from architecture to API, documentation, and operational stability.
• Develop the monitoring platform: build observability services for clients based on foundation from Platform DevOps / SRE Engineers.
• End-to-end delivery: from operator/integration, through API endpoints and CLI commands, to Terraform resources and documentation.
• Integrate with common services: connect with IAM, billing, and quota systems developed by the Common Services team.
• Co-create technical standards.
