Senior Software Engineer (Java + Neo4j)

Sopra Steria is one of the largest tech industry players in Europe with nearly 30 countries and more than 55,000 employees. The Polish branch operates in Katowice since 2007 and has a team of around 1,000 specialists. The Digital Platform Services department specializes in cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security. The Application Services department manages software development, data engineering, testing, CRM, ITSM, ERP integrations, and application management for customers across Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.

• 4+ years of commercial experience in a senior or senior-ready role
• Strong experience with Java (8–21) with modules possibly using newer versions
• Hands-on knowledge of Neo4j (4.4 – 5.X)
• Knowledge of Spring 5.2 and Spring Boot 2.3
• Knowledge of ElasticSearch (7.17 - 8.X)
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Proactive and detail-oriented
• Ability to document processes and share knowledge effectively
• English at B2 level or higher to communicate fluently in an international team
• Willingness for occasional business trips abroad and regular office visits in Katowice
