Platform Engineer - fixed term

Aptiv Services Poland S.A. is hiring a Platform Engineer on a fixed-term contract to build, maintain, and improve platform services and infrastructure. The role involves collaboration with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable systems in a hybrid work setting in Kraków.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience or familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience or familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
• Experience or familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Scripting or programming skills in one or more languages (Python, Go, Bash).
• Exposure to Agile/DevOps ways of working.
• Willingness to learn and grow toward greater technical ownership.

Platform Engineering & Development:

• Build and maintain platform infrastructure and services across cloud environments.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management under established patterns.
• Implement solutions following the team’s engineering standards, best practices, and design patterns.
• Support the adoption of tools and frameworks selected by the team.

Collaboration & Delivery:

• Deliver assigned engineering work items with consistent, reliable progress.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on design reviews and technical solutions.
• Work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure alignment.
• Communicate progress and raise technical blockers early.
• Participate in stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.

Reliability, Security & Operations:

• Help ensure the availability, observability, and performance of platform services.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging.
• Participate in incident response and support root cause analysis.
• Apply security, compliance, and governance standards in day-to-day work.
• Contribute to improving system resilience and recovery capabilities.
