• Proactive and independent ownership with anticipation of issues and verification of assumptions.
• Experience with production systems including databases, queues, and stateful workloads covering scaling, failover, and migrations.
• Ability to debug distributed systems from symptom to root cause and document findings.
• Strong habit of security awareness focusing on least privilege and secrets hygiene.
• Programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash for infrastructure coding.
• Fluent written English.
• Growth mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to effectively use AI assistants and recognize their inaccuracies.

• Proactive, independent ownership of tasks including anticipating issues and driving outcomes without hand-holding.
• Operating production systems involving databases, queues, and stateful workloads ensuring scaling, failover, and migrations without downtime.
• Debugging distributed systems not originally built by the candidate, identifying root causes and documenting them for others.
• Maintaining security awareness including least privilege, blast radius management, and secrets hygiene.
• Coding infrastructure using Python, Go, or Bash.
• Using AI assistants effectively and identifying errors in their outputs.
