Senior Full-Stack Kotlin Engineer (Freelance/Service Agreement)

Flix SE is a company providing products to manage station inventory, improving travel experience for millions of passengers worldwide with distributed cross-functional teams.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, primarily backend development using a JVM language, including commercial experience with Kotlin
• Solid front-end skills with modern front-end stack
• Experience with event-driven architectures; exposure to event sourcing, CQRS, and domain-driven design (DDD) is a plus
• Hands-on experience deploying applications to cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
• Proficiency in system design and architecture
• Solid written and spoken English communication skills

• Independently manage roadmap epics as topic driver, aligning technical requirements and solutions across Flix teams with the product owner
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to develop and improve the product vision with a business-driven mindset
• Support the development process within an agile environment
• Engage in pair and ensemble programming, perform code reviews, testing, and operations
• Deliver new product versions using continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
