Linux Administrator

• Minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL)
• Experience in Linux (RHEL) product engineering and software/hardware lifecycle management
• Experience in Linux (RHEL) infrastructure design including Data Centre
• Proficient in Linux (RHEL) design and implementation
• Experience with LVM, user management, and troubleshooting
• Ability to work with OEMs to maintain product lifecycle, patches, and firmware updates
• Experience in patch management for complete Linux (RHEL) infrastructure
• Knowledge of patching tools for Linux (RHEL) servers
• Experience with cluster solutions such as Veritas Cluster, PowerHA, REDHAT Cluster, HPC, GPFS, PCS cluster
• Experience in Satellite Server installation, configuration, and administration
• Experience with LPAR installation and maintenance
• Experience with mksysb backup and restoration
• Experience in NIM Server installation, configuration, and administration
• Understanding of backup solutions (Cohesity, Networker) and storage technologies
• Knowledge of project methodologies and ITIL fundamentals
• Strong documentation skills

• Acquire knowledge and detailed understanding of customer’s landscape and architecture
• Validate Scope of Work and Due Diligence of Data and identify gaps
• Validate RLS and identify skill gaps
• Gather required and detailed information and develop SMTD with complete understanding of customer’s architecture
• Provide reverse knowledge transfer to BAU and obtain sign-off from customer and internal stakeholders
• Articulate risks effectively and obtain sign-off on SMTD, Risk Register, and other documentation; propose risk mitigation plans
• Implement best practice, hardening, and service assurance rollout
• Identify technical and operational risks early and recommend solution options
• Manage changes in customer devices for remote management and onboarding of monitoring tools
• Lead end-to-end ownership of transition and smooth Go Live of services regarding People, Process, and Technology
