Senior Backup Engineer – Veritas NetBackup & Dell Data Domain

DCG is a recruitment company delivering experienced specialists and partnership-based cooperation. They support clients with continuous recruitment projects and currently seek a Senior Backup Engineer due to dynamic growth.

• Practical experience implementing, administrating, and troubleshooting Veritas NetBackup.
• Strong knowledge of NDMP and DNAS backup policies, including design, configuration, and maintenance.
• Experience administering Dell Data Domain and integrating it with NetBackup.
• Documented experience in backup migration, capacity management, and performance optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, documentation creation, and knowledge transfer abilities.
• Ability to work independently at a senior level on critical migration tasks.
• Very good spoken and written English (minimum B2+).

Nice to have:

• Experience with NAS migrations and working with storage platforms.
• Experience in large corporate environments.
• Knowledge of backup management principles, documentation, and operational processes.
• Experience supporting infrastructure transformation projects.

• Support migration from NDMP backup policies to DNAS during NAS solution changes.
• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Veritas NetBackup environments.
• Administer Dell Data Domain solutions and integrate them with NetBackup.
• Execute backup migration actions within planned NAS migrations.
• Manage backup system capacity and optimize performance.
• Provide operational support to increase capabilities of the BAU backup team.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for backup solutions and migration activities.
• Conduct knowledge transfer to operational teams.
• Support key migration stages and project tasks.
• Independently execute critical backup migration activities as a senior engineer.
